Teddy Shadek is 10 years old. He is one of a small group of children who has been involved in the Horizons for Homeless Children Community Service Program over the past few months. The group has been led by Teddy's mother Kristine and her friend Brooke Muggia, and other members of the group include Teddy's brothers Will (8) and Charlie (5) and friends Henry (9), Caroline (9), Andrew (6) and Annie (4).
Earlier this year, Teddy and his family presented carrot, lettuce and onion plant pots to the children in the preschool, toddler and infant/toddler classrooms at Horizons for Homeless Children. On the day of the visit, Teddy also presented a picture of what the Community Service Program means to him and today that picture hangs proudly in the offices of Horizons for Homeless Children. Teddy and the group plan to get more involved in community service activities in the coming months.
Thanks Teddy!
