Horizons for Homeless Children held its 15th Annual Recognition and Awards Dinner recently at The Colonnade Hotel in Boston. The event acknowledged the hundreds of Playspace Activity Leaders (PALs), volunteers who spend time with homeless children each week, as well as the companies, partnering agencies and staff who support Horizons for Homeless Children in our efforts to improve the quality of life for homeless children.
Speaking on behalf of Councilor Ayanna Pressley was Marie St. Fleur, Chief of Advocacy and Strategic Investment for the City of Boston, who passionately addressed the crowd on the importance of early education for children living in homelessness. In attendance at the event were over 300 people who traveled to Boston from all over Massachusetts to celebrate the accomplishments of the organization over the last year and receive recognition for their diligence and commitment to Horizons for Homeless Children.
