New statistics have recently been released that indicate that over 100,000 children are homeless in Massachusetts this year and 50% of these children are under the age of six.
Horizons for Homeless Children provides crucial programs and services to many of these children and their families, but we can only do so with the support of the communities we serve.
We are grateful to John Hancock Financial Services for their donation of 12 Boston Marathon numbers to Horizons for Homeless Children this year. Because of their generosity, the 2008 Run for Homeless Children Team of dedicated runners will raise $100,000 to ensure a hopeful future for young homeless children and their families.
