Horizons for Homeless Children (HHC) is actively seeking a Infant Lead Teacher with strong Early Childhood experience and education who is DEEC lead teacher qualified and has at least one year of supervisory experience. HHC is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to providing high-quality programs and services to homeless children and families throughout the state of Massachusetts. We have three Community Children's Centers, serving a total of 175 children. The Edgerley Family Community Children's Center, located in Roxbury, is a friendly, supportive teaching environment with low child-teacher ratios and a focus on supporting families. The agency maintains diversity amongst children and staff and acknowledges staff accomplishments and development. The Lead Teacher is responsible for general management and supervision of the infant teachers and classrooms and works closely with the center management team.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- AA Degree in ECE or related field required, BA preferred.
- Must be DEEC Lead Teacher qualified.
- The candidate must have a minimum of 3-4 years teaching experience and at least one year of supervisory experience.
- Candidates will be professional, sensitive, and enthusiastic, and show a commitment to working with homeless families.
- Strong curriculum planning skills, knowledge of NAEYC guidelines desired and familiarity with Head Start performance standards.

This is a full time, exempt position. Lead Teachers report to Center Directors.
